The Meyton Cup Airgun competition is now complete but not before some stellar Air Pistol results from Team USA to close it out. Alexander Chichkov earned gold yesterday in the open class with a huge finals score of 205.7, just 0.3 points from the World Record. Nick Mowrer made Final as well and finished fourth. Lydia Paterson finished with a silver medal to go along with the gold she earned the day prior. Courtney Anthony followed with bronze. Alexis Lagan made both Open Finals, finishing fifth and sixth respectively.
All told, the USA Shooting Team owned the Meyton Cup podium, earning 12 podium finishes (seven gold, two silver and three bronze). High schooler Rhiann Travis was the standout performer with gold and silver medals in junior air rifle and a gold in the open class as well.
