I got my LP10, Yay!!! Questions about the air cylinder.

OK so this is my first air pistol that works with air cylinders.

I fill the cylinder to the recommended 200 bar mark
and once past the 100 bar mark the pistol has a different sound
and groups lower. Is it OK to keep topping up the pressure and never
let the air run down completely or does this affect the cylinder durability?

The cylinder can be refilled at any pressure as long as it is below 200bar.

I shoot an LP1p(the original version of the LP10).
I pump my cylinders up to 200 bar.
I can shoot two matches plus sighters(approx. 140-150 shots) before it gets to just above the yellow(just under 100 bar).
I have never noticed that it sounds different or shots are lower when it gets to 100 bar.
Just refill when it gets to 100 and you will be fine.
For that matter, you can refill it any time you want, will not hurt a thing.

How do you know you're filling to 200 BAR?

I noticed with our club pump that with a little leakage and cooling the cylinders were really at about 140BAR. I fill my own cylinders with a large SCUBA tank at home, and after you've used THAT a while it's no longer filling to 200 BAR.

I ALWAYS top off my cylinders. No reason not to. Filling an empty cylinder generates more heat (lower pressure when cooled) than topping off a partial.

I still push SSPs, though.

I don't for sure but the bar pressure needle on the cylinder reads 200 when I fill
it from my scuba tank so I trust Steyr have the gauge correctly calibrated.

Just fill the tank a "Half needle width" over the 200 bar line, when cooled a LP10 tank should sit right at 200. Even when just filled to 200, with a pump, 60 bar doesn't vanish, I think the internal valve on your tank may be leaking abd some air escapes when bleeding the hose to your scuba tank.
