FWB 300S PARTS?
I RECENTLY REPLACED THE SEALS IN MY "300S". IN THE PROCESS THE "SEALING" RING (PART # 1500.128.3) THAT FITS IN A GROOVE ON THE FORWARD END OF THE "PISTON" (PART # 1700.125.2) SNAPPED IN HALF. I ASSEMBLED THE GUN PLACING THE BROKEN HALVES IN THE GROOVE THINKING THAT THEY WOULD BE HELD IN PLACE BY THE "PISTON" FITTING INSIDE OF THE "COMPRESSION CYLINDER". THIS HAS APPARENTLY WORKED AS THE GUN OPERATES PROPERLY, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE THIS BROKEN PIECE IF POSSIBLE. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A HEADS UP ON WHERE i MIGHT FIND A REPLACEMENT?

Wynne,
Your suggestion was great! The vendor had the part and responded very promptly.
Again, thanks!

Glad to be of assistance. I bought that kit for my 300S. It shot just like a brand new one after I installed it.

I have a 300S that I should probably overhaul too. Does disassembly and reassembly require a spring compressor? I wouldn't attempt to disassemble my Beeman R1 without one, but a match rifle like the 300S might not require one.

Re: FWB 300S PARTS?
No, a spring compressor is not necessary for disassembly and reassembly. The most important is that you're mechanically inclined, unscrewing the shoulder screw and at the same time using your upper body weight to retain the mainspring from flying out.JerryX wrote:I have a 300S that I should probably overhaul too. Re: FWB 300S PARTS?
I rebuilt my Crosman Quest spring rifle without a compressor, the spring had about 1" of preload. If the FWB has any more than an inch of preload, have someone help you. (You push the endcap in, while a helper slide the cross pin though)

Re: FWB 300S PARTS?
You don't need a spring compressor to strip a 300S. If you are rebuilding one, a tube of Feinwerkbau Special Grease should be bought to very lightly lubricate the piston, the cocking lever pivot and slide pins. The rifle will need no more lubrication until the next time it's rebuilt.
