The beer would also be Mexican, but I usually drink Czech or Belgian.

Yes you do. Indian Restaurants (sometimes called Curry Houses but never Curry Shops) sell fizzy lager which is served chilled. It's proper beer (bitter/pale/ale/mild etc) that should be served unchilled from a cool cellar either by a hand pump or straight from the barrel.
