Good evening all. Thanks for advise already given and answering my questions.
I am in need of scope advise.
I am attempting to campaign a 10 meter free pistol in metallic silhouette competition.
I am shooting creedmore position (on back head away from target).
I am in need of the longest eye relief scope possible, pretty much any magnification as the
furtherist target is only 45 yards.
I know older generation scopes (leupold, redfield, burris etc) pretty well and cannot find eye
relief long enough to work very well.
I would appreciated advise on new generation scopes pertaining to eye relief.
I would like to have somewhere around 18" to 20" if possible.
Best Regards,
Don Faulkenberry.

Re: long eye relief scope
Your search terms will have to be something like Extended Relief Pistol Scope. I'm not familiar with it, but here's one with 20" referenced:
BSA Scope

Re: long eye relief scope
I'd try a red dot like an Aimpoint.

Re: long eye relief scope
Good morning.
Thanks for the replies.
I currently have the Leupold 2.5 on my pistol as I am a long time Leupold fan.
The eye relief offered by this scope is marginal but may be usable in the long run as I adapt
to, what to me is a brand new shooting position.
Have owned the BSA a few years ago on another project.
Eye relief on it was about half what Midway markets and the scope fell apart internally very quickly (.357 target loads).
Aimpoint is a concept I only know a little about.
I will research and learn. That may be the answer to my problem if the rules permit.
Thanks again.
Best,
Don

Re: long eye relief scope
You may want to try to discuss with some of the IHMSA guys. They shoot creedmoor most of the time. Some of the shooters at the local club use scopes. I never really talked to them to find out what kind they use. I am sure you are not the only one out there.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.
