Compared to the LP10, every LP50 I've tried has had a lousy trigger.

I felt recoil !

How about paying an extra $200 for the privilege of less convenient loading?
Re: Reasons not to get a 5 shot AP?
It´s a little more hassle to load. Until you get the hang of it.
And for 10m you can only load one pellet at a time, so you can only load the first hole of the 5 shot magazine or use the one shot magazine.
If you use the five shot magazine and by mistake you fire the gun twice, by the rules the second release of air is a 0 plus a 2 point penalty.
They are more "air hungry" then a standard LP10, as they have to physically move the magazine and recock the pistol after each shot.
You should get around 100 shots (from memory) with an LP50 vs the 140/150 shots with an LP10.
Hope this helps

I'll second RMCA. They are air hungry. The loading is something you get used to, although it will never be as convenient as a single shot.
Re: Reasons not to get a 5 shot AP?
I really wonder if the people talking about difficulty single-loading an LP50 have ever done so with the single shot magazine. I've shot many APs over many years, and using the single shot mag in the LP50 is the easiest loading method I ever tried. Double shots are impossible and cocking the gun is not needed. You shoot, the mag pops partway out, stuff in a pellet and push back the mag. Doesn't get any easier than that.

Just to clarify, the 2 point penalty only applies if it happens on the last shot of the qualifying stage, the last shot of either of the two 3 shot series in the final or on the timed single shots in the final.rmca wrote: If you use the five shot magazine and by mistake you fire the gun twice, by the rules the second release of air is a 0 plus a 2 point penalty.
For all other shots it "just" scores a zero.

I couldn't agree more.FredB wrote:I've shot many APs over many years, and using the single shot mag in the LP50 is the easiest loading method I ever tried.
