First post and question

Post by 82boy »

Hello: I am new to the site, and new to Bullseye shooting. I bought a Pachmayr super deluxe box. I just bought a new wadgun, and it will not fit in the box due to the red dot on it. Is there any modifications that can be done, or replacing the tray to something else to remedy this problem? It don't need much maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Thank you

Greetings,

If the box does not have the "back door" storage compartment, you can pry off the four gun tray guide bars and relocate them. I did this to my three gun box.

Cheers,

A better alternative to an old bullseye box, is to acquire a Pelican case with foam inserts and configure the foam to your liking.
The medium to large ones come with wheels which is helpful.

The trays in almost every box, do not hold the guns securely enough, and the foam padding in a Pelican case will provide more protection for your guns.
The exception to this is the Strong box. It has a very good tray, but the box is also very heavy.
