I have Ways of the rifle and Bassham's book, both great. Is there anything comparable for the pistol shooter?
Thanks

Re: pistol shooting books
Gil Hebard's book, a pistol shooters treasury.
Awesome book!
A collection of articles that was published in the 60's or thereabouts.
About ten bucks at bullseyegearonline.com
I paid a bit more on amazon but its worth every penny.

Re: pistol shooting books
I have the largest library of shooting sports info in private hands in the country, and it is open to anyone anywhere. If you would like to see wha tis in there and how to see some of it, I would need a mailing address and name to get the info to you. I don't have anything online. Don in Oregon at bawilli@comcast.net
Re: pistol shooting books
Until the MEC book came out, the best reference for Olympic shooting was "Competitive Shooting" by Yur Yev. It's been out of print for a while, but used copies can be found (although they are often overpriced). I highly recommend the MEC book.

Re: pistol shooting books
I have the Yur Yev book and tried to read it on several occasions. The problem is that there is so much scientific, anatomical and psychological information that having a clear mind required for competitive shooting was not possible for months after each attempt to read it.Until the MEC book came out, the best reference for Olympic shooting was "Competitive Shooting" by Yur Yev.
