co2 cylinder expired

hi folks, I'm thinking of buying a second hand Walther CPM1 co2 pistol. thing is the cylinder is expired, is it possible to get them re-certified?

I've never heard of it being done in the UK (or anywhere else for that matter).

Unless you're going to be shooting in competition where the cylinder MAY be looked at, forget it.

You'll be the one filling it, so no one else will see it or care.

I never did point out this...but in NorCal for the last two years I have YET to see a CO2 gun being used for a PTO. But then maybe I might have missed the PTO that a person with a CO2 showed up. On the other hand, plenty of FWB65 and SSP.

Not true. There are several competitors still using CO2 pistols in the Bay Area.

I am so used to my Steyr LP-10 I doubt I will ever buy another AP., but FWB2 is always an interesting pistol that I thought maybe I should give it a try just to see how it feels

I used to have a CPM-1; fabulous gun, wish I never sold it. I shoot a Morini 162 EI now. If I still had the Walther, I'd have a hard choosing between the two.
I don't care what the "experts" say, the Walther CPM-1 is a great gun. Great factory grips, best sights and a great trigger.
One great thing about the CPM-1 is the trigger shoe itself. It will pivot around it's horizontal axis allowing you to angle it to match the way your fingertip lays on the trigger. If you will notice your finger does not lay on most triggers at right angles to the trigger. Your finger enters the trigger guard on an angle.
Triggers that extend down vertically don't feel natural to me.
Now that I've said all that, buy that gun and enjoy.
P.S. I put a Nygord Turbo-Comp on mine, it was sweet. You can still get them at Larry's guns.
