A trigger action is made up of a first stage travel with a first stage weight,
a second stage point at which the second stage takes effect with a second stage weight. A trigger point where the trigger sear releases firing the action and after travel to a trigger stop.
The length of the second stage dictates the type of trigger feel, very very short gives a break like glass feel but requires a fair second stage weight.
A longer second stage can give a more roll off feel and can be set with a much lighter second stage weight.
Regardless first stage weight plus second stage weight equals total trigger weight.
The early Walther LP400 trigger has a limited second stage weight, later pistols have a change of springs (revision H) which allows more adjustment.
