Hasn't passed yet. Governor hasn't signed it. He vetoed virtually the same law when it came to his desk last year.

Also, article is wrong about $50 per purchase. Almost everything in the article is incorrect.

Dumb asses forgot that while it is not just unconstitutional, but the fee they charge PER cartridge is a tax. That means it will have to go through a vote by the people. Even if the Governor signs it (unlikely), it will be challenged and be thrown out of court.

Right to bear arms means firearm AND ammo.

I follow this situation closely, not just because I am in CA, but also as a chapter head of a Bay Area Pink Pistols, we are very close with CGF. Any minute changes we will know almost instantly.

The current strategy is simply let everything play out and see what the entire set of bill/prop they are trying to pass, then we will pick them off one by one. First by CGF, then if needed, ask for the big dog for help (NRA).

Calgun Website will help, but sometimes it deteriorates into flame wars. Another one believe it or not is to join Facebook and hang around with my group oaklandpinkpistols. Many CGF big shots including the volunteer lawyers are in my group, so they know before anyone else does. And no, obviously you do not have to be gay to join that group, we don't care and we don't check you out.:) If you feel uncomfortable using Facebook for privacy reason, you can just create an account for no other purpose other than joining the group so you know what is going on.
