I feel as bad as if I'd done an idiot scratch
Greetings all. Second post- old guy. I have an LP10E ....too long a bbl. a short was what i wanted but was coerced into the full length . Now the story. I had a chronograph on the nozzle and was merrily pipping pellets into a box of cloth a foot away when I was lightly struck in the right shoulder. Inner right shoulder. Strange feeling that. ...A pellet in reverse? No such luck. I was adjusting the velocity and if you have not seen it, STEYR produces a great group of instruction videos ,....for those that need the guidance....in this case it was me! I was struck by a bolt that adjusts the velocity . It clearly states that you should open the set screw a quarter turn! Got that? A quarter turn! ...Well obviously I had not. I looked down and low and behold ...there was the bolt at my feet. RELIEF!! no problems mate. I gotcha , simply reinstall, add a brain implant to the wish list and proceed. I reinstalled the bolt. NOTHING!! It seems that in my moving around I neglected to see that spring #52 was still in place. NO such luck. In no time as I reckon it, the spring vapourises. At least thats what I plan to try on Steyr et al. I cleaned that !@#$ loading with everything AND a magnet -no spring. Cibles targets Canada that sold me the gun.(I wanted a short) they said none around, is on holidays 'till the sixth of Jan. This is the 7th. Still tyhe same phone message about have a nice holiday, but we are on holiday until the sixth of January.... I did say that this was the seventh and the same msg.......I'm screwed...I have a match on the coming Sunday and all I can do is dry fire. I am a returning shooter, hot in the mid 80's and need a lotta reworking. I cannot afford the timeoff from training for holidays.I don't do this as many say to me "for fun". Certainly it is enjoyable. Otherwise I would have been divorced many many years ago. I have an understanding wife. She tolerated much. Trips in the province.., other provinces, Eventually the team and Swiss Shooting Week....The Benito Juarez Games, three hours every day minimum. No exageration. I'd arrive home , and we would study the targets for a few minutes....every night...I was a science teacher...I shot across the lab between 8 P.M> and 11+...When my son was 4 he asked me to come and rest with him before I left. I had to go but I laid down beside him. I said How old are you? He said " I am four." OK I said I will stay for four minutes and then I have to go....Dad when I am five will you stay with me for five minutes? I was so centered that I agreed. Quite the parent eh? Well I need the spring and my son is 34 an shoots a .45 ACP rather well. Any ideas on the spring? I already know about the priorities issue...Sorry for the rant, but some of you have possibly experienced the same problem! I mean where the hell is the spring? lol

They should be able to get you a new spring.
And when it arrives I'll bet that you will find the lost one. Almost guaranteed!
