A number of my fellow shooters are going to this. For those of you from Italy, how difficult is it going to be to get Target Pistols into the country? Will the people running the games make any special arrangements to make it easier?
I am considering going but have two concerns. The first is that there are only two pistol events for women. The second reservation is that it will be an expensive hassle to get my guns into and out of the country.
Thoughts from those of you living in the EU, or better yet, Italy?

Documentation needed for temporary import of firearms for SPORTING EVENTS.
•Valid passport
•Valid driver’s license or I.D. with current address
•Criminal records certificate from the Police Department
•Invitation to participate in sporting events issued by FEDERAZIONE ITALIANA TIRO A VOLO / UNIONE ITALIANA TIRO A SEGNO (UITS)
•Statement (annex 1) issued by FEDERAZIONE ITALIANA TIRO A VOLO / UNIONE ITALIANA TIRO A SEGNO (UITS) indicating the dates and places of the sporting events and describing the firearms to be introduced in Italy
•Governmental tax fee to pay with a money order made out to Consulate General of Italy - Chicago. The fee is adjourned periodically in line with the variable rate of exchange dollar/euro.

That is true, but I have no black powder pistols, and am unwilling to buy them for a one time thing. Borrowing would be even worse, as trying to guarantee the security of someone elses guns, is problematic at best.
I dont understand why Italy could not do what Sydney did and make any event that did not have a seperate women's division, mixed.
I wonder how much the tax is to bring guns into Italy, and whether it is per gun, or per trip?
