Pardini SP Trigger return spring

I've searched around and can't figure out which spring returns the trigger - if its the same spring which lifts the transfer bar I'm going to be disappointed that its not adjustable.

Can anyone enlighten me?

(I know its not the sear weight spring which is adjustable from the top of the frame)

I'm pretty sure it's the transfer bar spring. Sorry to disappoint you. If you haven't run across them, the drawings here might be useful:

Thanks for the info and the drawings.

Thats annoying, as I like a postive return, also its all seems quite gummy.
The slide and barrel were coated with goop, I think a good deal found its way to the trigger are, I can see blobs of it in there.

The manual says not to clean it, although its mechanical, not electronic.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't clean and relubricate it?

I was having problems with my trigger not returning and it turned out to be the "safety" latch on the left side of the pistol. I was rubbing something. Really seems to be an afterthought safety rather than well engineered. Try removing it (one screw) and see if that solves your problem. You can then futz with it to make it fit without rubbing.

Some people recommend TSI-301. I tried it, and it got everywhere & left a thin film of lube that attracted more dirt. I used an aerosol electronic cleaner to clean up the resulting mess, and then VERY sparingly oiled all the critical points with Rem Oil, which is the lightest regular oil I have.

I still have a problem with some grit that has gotten into the ball for the second stage. I soaked a thin piece of paper towel in solvent, slid it in between the ball & the frame, and cycled the trigger to try to work it out. It's been getting better, but it still acts up occasionally. I haven't had time to completely disassemble that part.

Anyway, I also thought it was a lube or dirt problem and it was the safety....

Good point, will try it, thanks.

Bah, its just a weak spring, oh well.
