Canadian National Pistol Championships

Post by Dr. Jim »

For those interested, the ISSF portion of the Canadian National Pistol Championships will be held at the Steve Johnson Range in Calgary, Alberta, August 17 to 23. Entry forms and further information is available through the following URL.

CISM Military rapidfire will also be included, but is currently at risk of cancellation due to low subscription. Competitors entering Canada with firearms are advised to obtain the appropriate forms from Canadian government sources.

For those interested in the NRA 2700 conventional pistol championships they are to follow on August 25-26 at the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan range. Information is available at http://www.saskhandgun.ca

OK, the easiest way to get the forms and to see the rest of the procedure is to visit this site:

Curiously: is this CISM rapidfire event only open to military (active & reserve) shooters, or can lowly civilians also compete?

While CISM is "military" in Canada, since we have such a small military, we have always run this match with two categories - "military" and "civilian". Usually tHe civs outnumber the mils substantially.
