NPA as applied to eye angle. i.e. head tip forward or back

Post by jackh »

If you raise your eyes to look up or lower eye to look down, are you then not in a natural eye level? In other words, there is a force you don't need to use if your eyes are not relaxed in a level gaze. Tipping the head forward or back too much might not be a good thing.

In support of this I have sensed more comfort and less eye wandering if I have my eyes in a natural level gaze from a natural head angle.

Discuss.

Of course! Also, your sense of balance is impaired with the head tipped. Just look at any motorcycle road racer. Their head is level no matter what their body is doing.

This should be considering when setting up your gun as well. You don't want to be tipping your head in any direction while finding your proper sight alignment. There may also be stress on the neck and blood flow restriction in some cases.
