"NEW" - 3-P Air Rulebook

Post by jhmartin »

OK, I'm maybe behind the times. I did not realize until last evening, looking thru the new CMP OTM magazine that a V2 version of the 2010-2012 rules was out.

CMP has it's act together and even has a "Changes" document that shows the major changes.

Probably the one to have the most impact is Rule 4.6.2 which now requires that shooting pants for precision fully conform to the ISSF rules on the size of the seat patch.

If you have not yet done it, get a new rulebook & changes at:
http://odcmp.com/3P/Rulebook.htm

BTW CMP ... I HATE THE NEW RULBOOK DOWNLOAD FORMAT ... just get it to us in PDF only ... it's a meg download now ... no reason for that ... KSS

Joel,
I am like you and not a fan of the flip book format they have it in. Just click the download button. You will get a pop up window to download the PDF version of the rule book. You can save it to your hard drive from there if needed.

Yeah, I know you can do that, but it ends up taking another 800mb download. Also many browsers do not support that silly extension.

Too much fancy.

What is the 2010 stock for the 887?

If Daisy showed one off it would have had to be either at the 3-P JO Nationals or at the coach conference last year.

My guess would be a black composite like the 953. The only reason I would guess this is that they want to keep manufacturing costs down.
Most of the manufacturers who are on the ball will submit prototypes to the 3-P Council 1-2 years for approval before a product is for sale.

Is the compressed air gun the 2010 887 in the rule book? Where can I see one? Is it 888 action with compressed air? Or is it a different gun all together?

Denise at Daisy Outdoor said they are still working with the supplier to get some more cost out of the product. Expecting it to be a few more months before it's available.
I had specifically asked about a stock.

Roy ... did anyone get photos of the CA rifle? Can you describe it?
