Take a break...

Post by Rover »

Since it had been about a month since I picked up my Free Pistol, I thought I'd do a little dry firing with it the day before today's match.

I realized then what a poor fit my grip was and got out my cordless drill and "U" shaped rasp for it. I proceeded to really "hog it out" and removed considerable wood and putty until it felt fairly comfortable.

I did OK with it at the match, but felt it needed a little more work. I'll play with it some more before the State Championship next week.

What I realized from all this is that you can adapt to anything and that you need to take a fresh look at things from time to time.
