rulebook questions....

Post by Jordan1s »

Hello,

lately ive been looking over some rules and restrictions regarding air rifles to make sure my rifle conforms and was wondering if USAS and the ISSF rulebooks are the same(as far as equipment restrictions are concerned). If not, where do the differences lie? Also, I have some equipment questions...

1. Is the centra mirror legal for USAS matches? I see some ISSF shooters using them...

2. Also, I need help understanding the butt-plate adjustment restrictions. From my understanding, its ok to turn buttplate away from your body(toward your arm) or toward your body or shift it left or right but not have both? Also, is it legal to tilt the butt plate toward you such that the "upper wing" gets better contact with your arm?

any help is appreciated!

The USAS rulebook is extracted from the ISSF rulebook and then a few USA additions put in ... noted by a USA before the number .... usually not big deals

part A of your question ... yes, it is an either/or situation. (side to side --or-- a left/right tilt
part B ... there is no rule against the tilting you describe (top closer, bottom farther) ... you may not however, "rotate" the buttplate as noted in rulebook (around the axis of the bore)
