Clark Hardball Pistol--Anybody have one of Jr's?

Post by Amanda4461 »

Hello,
I am fortunate to have one of Jim Sr's Heavy Slide wad pistols from 1969. The slide glides slickly enough that it surprises folks the first time they rack it, as the trigger does in its light and effortless release. The pistol has no trouble laying 10 rounds of 185gr LSWC into the 10-ring at 25 meters, with most being in the X. There isn't anything I would change about it. If I could find a pristine Jim Sr. Hardball pistol, I would buy it now.
How about Jim Jr's Hardball pistols? They have a 1-year backlog. Are they able to stand up with one of his dad's pistols, or am I better off with some other Smith's pistol?
Hopefully, some kind soul who owns or has owned one of Jim Jr's Hardball guns will chime in.
Thanks!

Amanda,
I may be able to find you a Giles hardball gun, if that will do.
