I use a Rika electronic trainer about once a week. I've benefitted from the trainer since I can't always make it to the range and it allows me to simulate a match while displaying aiming traces. At the beginning of the year I couldn't make it to the range for 5 months. I trained exclusively with a trainer and went back to the range three times before a regional match. I shot a personal best match score and could have done slightly better, but that has more to do with the mental game.
Now I alternate between normal dry firing and the trainer while bare footed and wearing a coat. I have tried different heights of riser blocks and tried adjustments to my stock while at home. The trainer will show if the adjustments are beneficial. It also allows me a chance to adjust to a new stock adjustment before going to a range. I recommend a trainer and if I didn't have to set it up and take it down after every use I'd use it more often.
