CMP 3p air summer camps
Hey guys got a chance for some jr. shooters to attend. Just opening up for those who have attended to give me some feedback regarding the camp. Thanks in advance
I was a cmp camp counselor last year and will be again this year. I also went to the camp as a jr. shooter.
I think its a great experience for jr shooters I know when I went I learned more there than I learned during the first two years I started shooting.
The camp uses as many resources as it can, including videos on positions by the national coach Dave Johnson, as well as national team members. The camp goes over everything from what to eat the day before a match as well as what to eat to maintain a healthy diet.
The camps start at either 8 or 9 in the morning I can't remember what it was and goes most of the day ending about 4. I know this year there are four national development team members as well as top level collegiate shooters.
At the week there is a "college talk" where the counselors talk about collegiate shooting and what it takes to get on a team.
During the week we do everything we can do work with the shooters. And with the camps being on electronic targets (except for the outreach camps) that means a lot of range time for the shooters. We do our best to work with each shooter and their individual needs. Every aspect of shooting is covered, from trigger control, to sight picture, and everything in between.
If you would like anymore information I'll be happy to share what I know.

I'll answer whatever questions I can (I was a camp counselor last year and will be this year). It will help to have specific questions to ask.
