Where do I start again

Post by twang »

I was into some shooting for a short time and had the FWB 65 and the Pardini K58 pistols also the FWB 80 ---sold them but now with winter coming I need something to do inthe basement.
I was thinking of getting the IZH 46M but heard good and bad and that I would not like it after the Pardini.
any suggestions.
I know there was a FWB 103 around for a very high price.
(to high for me) I would like to stay with an SSp.
No CO2.

There are a few shortcomings for the IZH 46M, but overall it's a great gun for the money...

What don't you like about the Izzy?

The seals for the IZH only need to be replaced frequently if you store the gun with the breech closed. It seems like this place has a pretty good deal http://www.straightshooters.com/pistols/izh46m.html

Prices for a new IZH-46M ranges from $360 up to $400, or you can wait around to see if someone has a used one for sale and they probably go for $300...

If you're not competing on an international level and just want to shoot in your basement like you said, the Izzy is the perfect gun for you.

Just keep it properly lubed and it will last for many years.

Yes, it is a bit front heavy, but that just reminds you how solidly the gun is made.

thanks Forrest
that ia the best price around and looks like a good deal.
I had my finget on the mouse more than once ready to click to buy but it seems most who buy it sell it and want to move up.
Maybe I will wait for another K58
thanks but I will keep my eye open for a good deal.
I remember last year I was ready to buy the 103 but when it did come it was gone in a flash and it was not as high as the one for sale now.
also saw the 100-it's more exciting to wait and play the game

Take your time and get what you really want. You'll be much happier and you know it works for you.

Put a "Wanted" in the Classifieds here and someone will come up with an acceptable deal. You seem to have the patience to make it work for you.

Edit:
Zounds! I note from the Classified that you were quick on the draw for this one.
