Izhmash CM-2 Rifles

Post by Tanktrek »

Our junior program is looking to purchase some new rifles to expend our inventory, unfortunately cost is a challenge.
Does anyone have any experience with the Entry level Izhmash CM-2 line of rifles.

Thank you
Ron

my reply in your other post.

Great for right hand beginners.... tougher for a lefty to use

Also check this post and you can see the pic of one of our rifles with the extension tube

Got back from the JO's last week.

Had one of the New Mexico shooters qualify for a 1st round smallbore invite with a 50 ft score of 553 with the CM-2 above .... her fist time on a smallbore rifle. (She is an excellent 3-P air shooter)

With only two more practices, in Colo Springs at 50m she shot a 559 with the same rifle. The CM-2 will do the job.
(Ammo used was SK STD Plus)

Mods done to the rifle:
1) removed stock front sight & added extension tube & a Daisy 887 front sight
2) worked the trigger a bit to give it a more "2-stage" feel.

(I still have not gotten around to mounting a standard rail on it)
