Walther LP 300XT 3D

Hallo everyone, this is my first post here,

I interested in new air pistol Walther LP 300XT 3D. The main cause I paid attention on that model is new grip 3D. I think it would be very helpful to adjust the grip to hand properly.
I've read many opinion about problem with the trigger in LP300, and I don't want spend my many on pistol with problems I've read about.
If any of you have some experience with LP 300XT 3D, let me know please
if the trigger has changed or not and how the new type of grip works.

I guess you mean de LP300XT 5D with the new grip adjustable in thickness (http://www.carl-walther.de/files/pdf/LP ... 771608.pdf).

I never tried that new grip, but I do not think that it is a revolution and surely not better than a well adjusted grip.

May be for those who do not want or cannot tune their grip to their hand ?

Of course I mean 5D. It is true that I don't want tune the grip with some compound and the solution given by Walther seems appropriate for me. I need thick grip because of my long fingers.

It probably makes the most sense as a club or team gun where several people may shoot it over time. That way you don't have to buy/build new grips every time someone else shoots it. For an individual it might help them decide what they want in the way of a permanent grip.

I see there's no actual pictures, only CAD images.

For those old enough to remember, not too much different from the grip on the Crosman/Skanakar pistol of the late 1980s.

Thanks for answers, but what about the trigger? Has it been changed? Probably in LP 300XT 5D is used the same model of trigger like with LP 300 XT but I don't now if it's better then model of trigger delivered with LP 300 or not.
I shoot with Morini 162 MI, and find this model almost perfect, but the grip is a little to thin for my hand and I can't make it thicker properly. Problems with griping the pistol make my results lower than I'm able to shoot.
I haven't got any experience of tuning a grip and I think that LP 300XT 5D is made for people like me.

The 5D is just a LP300XT with a 300 compensator and more adjustable grip. The trigger design of the 300XT is a little different from the 300. I used the 300XT for 3 years. It's tip/top heavy because the tanks are 300 bar. The balance is in the front. My max score was 368 with it. I now have a Steyr Lp10e and topped that score within days. I would not recommend a walther if you are a starter, i would recommend a steyr lp10.

Buy a Rink grip with the option volume "thick" made for people with relatively long fingers. It is cheaper than a LP300XT 5D and you will keep your excellent Morini pistol.

that's right. The Walther 300 series (several models) are not recommendable guns, in my opinion. Trigger does not stay put, trigger difficult to adjust. Grip not comfortable.

Thanks for Your answer, I see that buying the LP 300 XT 5D is not good idea so I will try to forget about it :). A few days ago I gripped and shot the LP 10 with Morini grip size M (the same size I have on my Morini 162 MI) and what I observed is that grip for LP 10 is a little bit thicker than grip made for Morini 162 MI !!! I'm surprised that Morini is producing the same size of grip with two different thicknesses. The grip from LP 10 fits me almost perfect and if the LP's 10 grip had been 2-3 mm thicker it would be perfect for me.
The Rink grips are known from me and I consider buying "thicker" model.
I will be glad and thankful If someone who has any experience with both grips ("thicker" Rink grip and LP's 10 Morini grip) helps me to compare thicknesses of those two models.

Morini is making grips for several other pistol brands (Steyr in the past, FWB...).

Each manufacturer has his own specification and the "Morini" grips of each pistol brand are different.

They also changed over time, there were several flavor of Steyr/Morini grips.
