I have an anschutz shooting glove that is starting to smell really bad since I train in an un-airconditioned room in a tropical country. I was wondering if anyone knows if it could be washed in the laundry or how will I be able to clean it.
Thanks!!

Re: Glove Care
I would perhaps hand wash it or maybe get it dry cleaned, but then again the dry cleaning solvents may damage the rubber bits. Hand washing / soaking should be enough to clean it and stop it smelling.afaust wrote:I have an anschutz shooting glove that is starting to smell really bad since I train in an un-airconditioned room in a tropical country. And after you clean it, you will need to make sure it is dry before you store it away. Prop it up in front of a fan, to blow air into it, or set it in the sun, etc. Just don't pack it away in a sweaty condition. I've never tried it, but wonder if putting a bunch of those little silica-gel packs and carbon packs into it will keep it better. Those are the little packs found in some medicine bottles, electronics, shoes, etc to keep them dry & fresh in shipping.
Yep good thinking. That would help as would a bit of talk / athletes foot powder. Store the glove in the open so it can 'breath' and not stuffed in a kit bag. Ditto the jacket, especially if it gets wet.wrc wrote:And after you clean it, you will need to make sure it is dry before you store it away.
